Honestly, the end result you see here was not from my first attempt at reassembling the light brick.  I can't stress enough the importance of getting the notch for that switch just perfect so the switch fits flush and snug.  This was the result after replacing the switch once with a new (unbroken) one and resoldering contacts three times afterwards.
